Fulham midfield ace set to leave in 2027 - QPR & Southampton must plot moves ASAP
The summer transfer window offers clubs across the Championship an opportunity to pick up players for nothing who let their contracts run down at their former clubs. Already looking ahead to next year, there are some interesting names that will be catching the eye of numerous second-tier sides.

Though the transfer window is closed until January, working on recruitment never stops, as teams across the EFL will be looking ahead to the winter window, as well as next summer for opportunities in the market.

As Premier League clubs continue to build and improve their squads, fringe players tend to get pushed out of the picture, making them potentially interesting targets for teams in the division below.

Taking a look at Fulham, 31-year-old English midfielder Harrison Reed has seen his game time slashed in recent seasons, and with less than 12 months remaining on his current deal, he ought to be on the radar of numerous Championship clubs.

Reed joined Fulham in the summer of 2019, initially on loan from Southampton, but having impressed in West London, his move was made permanent the following year for around £6 million.

Having previously enjoyed loan spells with Blackburn Rovers and Norwich City, Reed has since gone on to make over 200 appearances for the Cottagers across all competitions.

However, he has seen his minutes dwindle year-on-year as Fulham have continued to recruit in the middle of the park, but despite this, he remains a more than steady option in the middle of the park.

Should this be his final year at Craven Cottage, a host of Championship clubs should be queuing up, as Football League World takes a look at two clubs that should be pouncing for his signature.

Fulham star may have given transfer chances a boost – Backing player for future
If Fulham star Bernd Leno fancies a move to Bayern Munich next summer, he might have just given his chances a boost.

How, might you ask? Well by highly praising the man he would be playing behind at the Allianz Arena; Jonas Urbig. Let us explain that one.

Bayern Munich interest
Earlier this week Sport Witness reported information from Germany that the Fulham goalkeeper is on Bayern Munich's list of goalkeepers for next summer. Talks are already taking place about various options in this international break.

The German giants are reportedly on the hunt for an experienced goalkeeper to back up Urbig next season. They are planning ahead for when Manuel Neuer retires. He is expected to do so at the end of the season.

Leno is on their list and there are plenty of reasons why he could be of value. His contract expiring next summer certainly makes him an interesting option.

But there is also a belief that the goalkeeper would be happy to play out the final years of his career back in Munich, which would bring him closer to his family too.

Leno backing
For now, the Fulham goalkeeper is clearly watching on with interest over who potentially replaces Neuer in the German national team. And he quickly picked out the Bayern goalkeeper.

"That's a very, very good question, because right now there's no clear number one, as it has been the last 15 years with Manuel," he told WAZ.

"For me, he was the best. In my opinion, however, some young, talented boys are coming up. From the outside, I would say that the goalkeeper will come from FC Bayern because they currently have the best goalkeepers.

"In my view, the choice should be made on Jonas Urbig. He needs to be prepared to be number one in the future. What I see of him is very impressive. He is very talented, has excellent reflexes and is especially brave."

We're sure those comments won't go unnoticed by Bayern. It hints that Leno is more than aware of Urbig but would also be the ideal man to back him up at Bayern next year.

It would make sense for the German side to target an older player who is not only happy being number two, but who is also openly advocating for Urbig in public too.

Internationals: Another Norway goal for Bobb
There was another goal for Oscar Bobb in Norway's Nations League clash with Wales, although they fell to a 2-1 defeat in Cardiff.

With Sander Berge also in the starting line-up, Bobb's tidy finish after just 11 minutes had given his side the lead, but former Fulham man Dan James found an equaliser before the break.

Just a minute into the second half, Torbjørn Heggem was shown a red card for dragging down James, and fellow ex-Fulham player Neco Williams bent in the resulting free-kick.

In the same group, Joachim Andersen's Denmark were beaten 4-2 by Portugal. It was a topsy-turvy encounter, with the scores level at 2-2 until Vitinha and João Félix settled the tie late on.

David Affengruber played the first half of Austria's 2-2 draw with the Republic of Ireland in Dublin.

The defender was beaten by a moment of brilliance from Troy Parrott, who added a second from the penalty spot before the break, but goals from Alexander Prass and Michael Gregoritsch rescued a point.

Gonzalo García picked up some minutes in Spain Under-21s' thrashing of San Marino in their Euro qualifier.

La Roja were already 10-0 up when Gonzalo was introduced in the 70th minute, with David Gordo's side adding another three to earn a 13-0 victory.
