We're not pampering over any cracks. We have a better defence without Andersen and I still believe in Garcia. Palacios is very good. We dominated Hull and I'd be seriously worried if I was a fan of theirs as the gulf in class was enormous.

I wouldn't be too worried if I was a Hull fan, they've already gotten 9 points and only let in 7 goals in 7 matches.

Great take from a global moderator on what I thought was suppose to be a fan forum site. Jfc

He's entitled to his opinion. Fans don't have to wear rose tinted specs.
For my point it was not about what he said, it was just straight in with it, it would be nice to spend a few hours with us all enjoying a win before the criticism comes.

Great to see TC back. Now bench Garcia and we will look like a football team.

Play Garcia for the next 6 Premier games. No one adapted to English football sitting on in the bench. He just needs to pop one in. He's quick and takes up good positions.

Quote from: love4ffc on October 17, 2026, 04:56:54 PMGood game, but not a great game.  The score should have been 3-0 on a different Day.     I am afraid that this game will paper over the cracks and prevent what needs to be done.

The red card for Sess was harsh in my opinion and does not warrant a 3-game ban.

We watched different games, because I saw the most one-sided 1-0 I've seen in years, maybe ever.

Arbeloa's tactics blew Hull away and if our players could finish it would have been five.

King is going to be a megastar. As someone else said elsewhere, probably our first £100m player. He is my MOTM.

Just watched the highlights on Sky and then checked the stats. There were no clips of Hull shooting...but they had none on goal. But you're right: King, Iwobi and Garcia missed really straightforward chances. 4-0 at a minimum

Exactly. All the moaning about Garcia is misplaced. As a team we played very well today. Mobile and plenty of skill. Hull were made to look pathetic.

Citizen Smith

I thought we were all over them the whole game and played on the front foot throughout, backed up by the match stats. Should have been four or five nil (check out the highlights later) and although our finishing was poor, it's better to be creating lots of chances than not. Well done lads and AA today ::scarf::

Fully agree with your comment, including on King, although today wasn't his finest day.

Rj Fulham

King far and away the best player, though tbf i think Berge, Bassey, Charles were all noteworthy mentions.

Somerset Fulham

First time this season that I was looking forward to seeing Lighthouse post the Sky match highlights.

Bugger.

Quote from: Twig on October 17, 2026, 05:15:05 PMWe beat the worst side we have played this season by a single deflected shot that a better keeper would have saved. Perhaps we will kick on from here but I tend to think it is papering over cracks as others have said.
And yes, I am well aware we created plenty of chances but if we have a forward line that can't convert then chances count for little.

So what's the point of changing managers if we are papering over the cracks.  If our forward line can't score as you say then a new manager will make no difference, they will still miss chances.

Ara's bacon crisps

Can't look beyond Josh for MotM - he looked as if he had the ball on a string, especially in the first half.

Honourable mentions too for Berge - the man is just a metronome in midfield - and a much improved Oscar Bobb, who finally looks to be imposing himself a bit more.

Well done to AA too for finally clapping the fans. I guess he was just waiting for a win before he did it, which actually isn't the worst take in the world.

Also, despite apparently being in a minority of one in the Hammy End, I quite liked the substitutions - flood the midfield and keep the ball. I don't mind Muniz, but when was the time he came on and kept possession to see a game out?

But they do live in Hull, so you have to feela bit sorry for them at least  ::wink::

Totally agree they are, but being critical and being negative after a win we should be taking any joy we can out of are two completely differnt things. But seeing the negative for the club in a win as one of the first things you say is an L opinion.

If I walked into a pub and the first thing someone said when I said "great win, 3 points needed" was "yeah but it means AA is gonna be around another week" I'd immediately think that person was a **** and would avoid talking to them about Fulham.

Yeah timing here matters and it is part of what makes a take, a take. I have no problem with the opinion. But opening up the post match thread to a mod making a cynical remark after a majorily needed win is pretty meh.

Creating chances is one thing, scoring them is another

Luka

Thought Cairney looked absolute class when he came on. Took control and purred his way through to the end.

King was equally good and gets my vote simply because he played more minutes.

Southcoastffc

My Motm is Josh, closely followed by Oscar Bobb.  Hull couldn't handle either of them.    My 3rd compliment goes to the crowd, especially the back of H5, who got behind the team from the off. A refreshing change from the negativity, pessimism and panic o  this forum
