Good game, but not a great game.  The score should have been 3-0 on a different Day.     I am afraid that this game will paper over the cracks and prevent what needs to be done.

The red card for Sess was harsh in my opinion and does not warrant a 3-game ban.
Anyone can blend into the crowd.  How will you standout when it counts?

We get what we all wanted, and the first thing you say it's papered over the cracks. Why not spend a couple of hours enjoying a very good performance.

We watched different games, because I saw the most one-sided 1-0 I've seen in years, maybe ever.

Arbeloa's tactics blew Hull away and if our players could finish it would have been five.

King is going to be a megastar. As someone else said elsewhere, probably our first £100m player. He is my MOTM.

excellent performance really should have been 4-0 imo. Can't blame the manager too much for missing those sitters that's on the players. Substitutions were pretty good. palacios was a bit eye raising but wow what a run he made late in the game.

Garcia is so dissapointing. his confidence is now shot. cannot start next game and maybe used as a late sub.

Well, we got over the line...Whew!!!!

The lads just can't finish.  Iwobi, King and Garcia all fluffed grade A chances.  This game should've been a route.  Take the three.

Thought Charles had excellent game, particularly second half....

Great take from a global moderator on what I thought was suppose to be a fan forum site. Jfc

I'll take 3 points however.  You can see why the algorithms all think we are going to survive the drop. We create so many chances. The odds just say that they will start turning into goals eventually.

Josh or Charles, amazing to have guys in the middle who are desperate to take touches forward. Garcia was a ghost in a game we had 50 touches in their box, surely he needs to be rotated

Very very very relieved

Huh? What does being a mod have to do with having an opinion? Its not a hugely controversial one either.

Lets hope we push on now. A win at Coventry would do wonders.

It's great to finally win a PL match, not had this feeling since Newcastle. AA still making questionable subs (Palacios for GG), but this game should have been done and dusted by the 60th minute. Shame about the red. Does the League Cup count towards the red?

I don't think I remember seeing such a one sided match, not even under Keegan in the lower divisions. There will be tougher tests but I am taking that and am going to enjoy my Saturday evening on the back of it.

Well done lads!

Oh, and King was once again my PotM.  He really is going to be something spectacular.

Probably too early to be talking about Europe?

King by a mile. Sometimes he's in and out of a game but today he was on it every minute till subbed.

Not if you are thinking about one of those German Christmas market trips.

He's entitled to his opinion. Fans don't have to wear rose tinted specs.

Mis-timed challenge rather than malicious from Sess but still a red card unfortunately.

We beat the worst side we have played this season by a single deflected shot that a better keeper would have saved. Perhaps we will kick on from here but I tend to think it is papering over cracks as others have said.
And yes, I am well aware we created plenty of chances but if we have a forward line that can't convert then chances count for little.

Before the game a lot of people said we would lose against hull and they are the best of the three promoted teams. Now there's people saying hull are a horrible said and we've only won because of hoe bad they are and that this result doesn't prove anything.
I think the first two league games we've been all over the place, but have since found our feet.
Our biggest problems are our players not taking their chances and them losing their heads once the 80 minute mark approaches. Nothing really that arbeloa can do against that.
King MOTM for me with Bobb as close second

I Ronic

Whether it's papering over the cracks or not. 76% possession, 18 shots to 5, 6 on target is surely the way forward. It also means training for the next game can be a little more concentrated on where we are coming up short.
Well done lads...
