Not strange, just maths.  The same will have been true for each year of the 21st Century.  i.e. in 2005, the answer would have been 105

i.e year of birth + age = current year - 1900

Can't disagree with you there, Beamer.  I spent much of last week battling with some nightmarish algebra.  I don't know whether it was such a trial because it was inherently difficult, or because I'm getting old and tired!
