It will be ironic if Charlie Adam's performance this season simultaneously keeps Blackpool in the Premiership and out of European football. He picked up his league-leading 10th yellow card for a pointless foul during extra time of yesterday's game with Spurs. Those 10 cautions (plus those he'll surely get after returning from his latest suspension) could well prove decisive in the end-of-season fair play rankings.
