based on the perspective of the photo, the Wolves player was a good 2 feet away from AJ at the least, and his intent was to block the shot. If he'd been close enough to do AJ with his outstretched leg, the foot on his other leg would have connected with AJ. This, plus the fact that he was turning his head away indicates that it was the shot he was after.
