Classic Club ****-Up! I can't believe they've done this.

It would seem that tickets for the Spurs game are now on 'General Sale'.

Did the club not realise the implications of doing this? We've had problems of rival supporters sitting in home ends for years. Now that problem has been exascerbated massively by them announcing general sale immediately, thereby allowing Spurs supporters straight through the gates and into our stands.

Spurs forums are going crazy about it. Their 15% allocation has just increased instantly to 50% and I can't believe that there won't be trouble in the stands because of it.

What foolishness is this? Who made the call to allow it? What will the club do to prevent this from happening?

Aah, it would seem that since typing that post, the club have changed it to being available for Season Ticket holders and members only.

And if Spurs start losing watch their players heads drop and their "supporters" bolt for the exits. When we beat them 3-0 at their place the ground emptied of their support very quickly.

...very poorly handled by the club, and made worse that the the opponents in question each year get tickets in the home end and by and large show their support with apparent impunity - home supporters who object are treated worse by the stewards than those who should not be in that part of the ground.

My concern is the disruption that will be caused during our win, by the complaints and trouble in trying to get spurs supporters out. Still it will increase our membership!

It won't be my problem though as we will be seeing an old friend who is emigrating at a 'goodbye' party on that day, so we will definately win...

Ah, rats, I knew I should have bought membership (or a ticket this morning while it was still on general sale).

Still - would rather the stands weren't packed full of Spurs fans (sitting in the wrong end is one of the rudest things you can do, IMO).

Sitting in the wrong end- okay if you behave. I've watched us knock in seven goals whilst in somebody else's home end (only way to get into two games during our Keegan promotion season) and restrained myself from openly gloating as Pesch and co filled their boots. A couple of my mates, supporting the home team, knew who I was, obviously, but nobody else around me did.
In my book you act as a guest if in the wrong end, if you abuse your hosts then you get evicted.

Somebody needs to pass that on to the dozy gets who pretend to be stewards at the Cottage. Last time I complained about two obvious away fans I was told they couldn't do anything unlss the invaders caused problems.
