I emailed the West Midlands police to congratulate them on the escort after the Brum game and this is the reply I got: Class.

'I am the Superintendent responsible for running the Football Unit in the West Midlands, and I just wanted to thank you for your kind feedback following your visit to St Andrews on Sunday.  Given that we had given your side the freedom of the park, it only seemed appropriate that we give you the freedom of the roads too!

Regards,

Supt Steve Graham
Operations Department'

Must admit i found thier old Bill superb (only after i got nicked at Wolves, before that they was dying to nick Fulham supporters, didn't even look at the Wolves fans next to us). I was giving them a load of verbal when i got nicked, (you can ask Fletchinio). After a while in the cells i sobered up a bit, done a few sorry's (knew i'd pushed it way to far, but no crawling) , but still taking the mickey out of them, one of them said in their horrible brummy accent " No worries Spence you've been great entertainment apart from your slagging us off".  And just to embarrass Fletch, as we got booked into Bloxwich or whatever the place in the middle of nowhere is called, the other cop now also calling me Spence, and being matey,( lucky i thought i was going to get the book thrown at me) booked us in as Ian Spencer bit gobby but alright, and his mate Fletch who is in a much worse state of affairs   :59:, .
