Been frozen out at Villa since Houllier came in. Was Sparky's left back at Blackburn and with Salcido potentially on the way out, I reckon he could be coming to us. Always thought he was a decent full back. Please note this is just me putting two and two together.

I think the LB position comes down to if Sparky thinks Briggsy has developed enough to call it his. Maybe Europe will mature him even more, but I expect to see a lot of Mr Briggs next season

Is that the guy with a huge nose who may have once played for Liverpool (or perhaps he's just a scouser)? Not seen him play for ages but I do think we may have seen the last of Salcido - can't say I'm exactly distraught about that. Just not quite good enough defensively.
