Half time 1-1 with Mexico. Awful keeper error by England to let in the goal. So many things in common with the mens game.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

If England don't top the group than we'll (most likely) face Germany (the favourites) in the first knockout round.

Hmmm... eerily reminscent of another England campaign recently...

It's all going Pete Tong...

I blame FIFA.

Oh dear - final score 1-1.  Missed chances but deserved nothing more.

I watched the highlights of this match last night and noticed a few things:
1 - Women goalkeepers are not that good!
2 - They seem to have so much time on the ball!
3 - There was not a single bit of playacting, falling over, complaining or silly business of any kind - Men take note.
4 - Kelly Smith (the forward, I think that's her name) is pretty good!

massive piece on the England goalie in the Guardian yesterday saying how women goalies deserve a fair chance. Terrible timing.

That's funny; Smith has been very well known as a quality player for a number of years around the world -- evidently, not so much in the UK, though.
