CARLOS Salcido and Clint Dempsey will miss Thursday night's Europa League qualifier with NSI Runavik.

The duo have been involved in the Gold Cup, where Salcido's Mexico came from behind to beat Dempsey and USA in Sunday's final.

However, Bobby Zamora could be in contention for a place on the bench after returning to training yesterday.

Chris Baird is one of only two Fulham players who have played in the Faroes – Aaron Hughes is the other – and both for Northern Ireland in a shock 1-1 draw last year.

However, the right-back reckons the squad are somewhere around '60 to 70 per cent match fit, but insists they have enough to get past the minnows.

Baird said: "Players kept up levels during the break, and Brede Hangeland and Philippe Senderos only had a couple of weeks off, so they're pretty close to full match match fitness already."
