Yep.

Beat Japan and we face France, draw/lose and we face Germany.

France would be the marginally better prospect, but as anyone who saw their 4-0 thrashing of Canada would tell you, France are a side to be feared (I've put a small bet on France to win it, actually, their odds were far too long given the quality they have).

The thing is, I watched the first half of Japan v. Mexico this morning. Japan were really slapping around a Mexican side that played England to a standstill. If Mexico get a result against NZ, I think England will be 3 and out.

Japan would have to give us a proper thrashing - there's a goal difference of 5 to overcome between England and Mexico. Mexico have only scored one goal this tournament, can't see them scoring too many, even against NZ.
