Going to start a campaign for our most consistent and regular player.

Well done.

We all notice you, we all appreciate you.

How on earth do you manage to stay so completely under the radar?

Everybodys second favourite player.

WhiteJC

I noticed when he played right back  :dft012:

As well as then fact he has hit a rich vein of goalscoring form!

White Noise

His brief must have changed. He was always famous for being the top flight player who went whole seasons without taking a shot at goal.

Nothing comes close to how rich a vein of scoring he is in right now... if you put it into comparison career wise he's almost literally on fire, such is the friction due to the close proximity of his 2 recent goals. Long may it continue too.

I'm not sure he can really be 'under the radar' when everyone's saying how underrated he is all the time...

That's my best FFC team of the last 50 years and Aaron Hughes is in it.

Not having had anything like the experience you've had, that would be my team too.  Is it unfair to suggest that Langley's perhaps the weakest link? And if we're talking about underrated players, Graham Leggat doesn't quite seem to get his due.  Reading around that team in the papers of the time he was clearly very important to the club, but now seems to be something of an afterthought.

No one who saw Leggatt would think he was anything other than absolute top quality. He wasn't the big personality that defined some of his colleagues but only Haynes was a better player.

Jim Langley was certainly the most likeable of all Fulham players but he was also one hell of a competitor. He left for QPR when he was about 36 and in two seasons captained them to 2 promotions and a League Cup win.

Some of my favourite Fulham players have been left backs (Callaghan, Pike, Brevett) but we'll never have better than Langley.

Had we a different kit sponsor, I'd be beginning my second season with "Hughes 18" on my back. Until we do, however, I stick with my "Volz 2."

When the wife asked who my favorite player was, I knew a shirt was coming...immediate answer, "Hughes!"

Thank God that was on the Nike shirt (I can actually wear it 'round town).

In your team if you like but this is mine.

The 18 year old Macedo was, I'm sure, better than the 18 year old Schwarzer.

By 28 Macedo's career was essentially over and not by the sort of career ending injury that George Cohen had.

At 38 Schwarzer is still top quality.

I'll have him in my team.

I think the 'keeper has to be EVDS..

You know you have got the goalie wrong Tony, now be a good man and change it to the man you KNOW was our best ever keeper ;p

TonyGilroy

If you insist.

Ken Hewkins it is then.

fulhamguy

Can't disagree with this post, I voted for him as Player of the Year last season.

I think I would have had Paul Parker as my right full back. And would also like to have Rodney Marsh and George Best some where in the squad as well. Steve Earle was another of my favourites. 092.gif
