Briggs looked really good in my opinion, hes really come on over this summer and even the brief start to this season. Give it a couple more an I think, all remaining the same, we will have a job on our hands to keep hold of him

I am delighted for Briggsy.

I was never sure of his premier league ability, but this season he has come on leaps and bounds. I guess that is what a little confidence and playing time can do for you!

It's not improbable that Smalling and Briggs could be England full backs for 10 years. I really think Briggs is going to be some player.

I remember seeing him play against an arsenal reserves side forthe ukham reserves what must of been about may 2009. I remember the arsenal side not being particularly strong in terms of names bit arsenal youth sides are always good footballing sides anyway.

Briggs played centre Half with Leijer, and I think some more senior players played too although I can't remember exactly who played. But Briggs stood out as the best player by far. I thought then if he couldn't make it then none of them will.
