Ridiculous Spending - Notts County

Just reading an interesting story on the Beeb about Notts County after Sven.

The biggest earner is Kasper Schmeichel who has 4 years left on a 5 year deal paying him a million quid a year. That is 20 000 pounds a week. Notts County is in League Two for crying out loud...

That is more than Hangeland made before his new contract, Schmeichel's wages alone is a third of the total annual revenue for the club, and this is in a league where you are only allowed to spend up to 60% of turnover on wages.

Absolutely shocking. And well done yet again by the FA to really stay on top of things.

They thought that when the consortium that bought them came in they were gong places, prem in 5 years etc,  and money was no object, same as Pompey, the bubble has burst
