Cannot believe that some on other sites are moaning about Matthew. To me he has shown tremendous potential , he is fast and direct and with more experience will go far. As long as it is with Fulham.

Of course he won't be the finished article straight away. But he's a young lad with bags of potential and will go far.

As Cebu says, I just hope we get to see him at his best, rather than seeing him realize his full potential for a "big" club.

I would pick him above Riise as it stands. The only thing that keeps Riise in the team is his past reputation and the fact that he was a high profile signing. The only issue is with Briggs is that he does tire about 70 mins in but apart from that (a big issue I grant you) I would pick him.

To me JAR is not great going forward, he lacks pace and rarely delivers a decent ball. When he receives the ball in good situations it goes back to Hangers all the time, the guy is surviving on his reputation.

In the Villa game JAR was getting forward at every opportunity while the other 3 defenders were shuffling across to cover for him. I thought that all looked very promising at the time but, since his injury, he hasn't been getting forward so much - instructions or just working his way back to full fitness?
