Murphy returns to end Fulham wobble

Fulham are ready to welcome back skipper Danny Murphy for tomorrow's home date with Everton.

Murphy missed the Europa League trip to Wisla Krakow after hurting his knee in the loss at Stoke last week.

Coach Martin Jol admitted the Cottagers suffered an "awful night" in Poland where Belgian international Mousa Dembele was harshly sent off.

While banned for European action, Dembele will play a part against Everton and will be joined by the returning Clint Dempsey and Bobby Zamora.

The pair did not travel to Poland in order to rest ahead of the Toffees' visit, and Jol believes such rotation is important to keep the side fighting on all fronts.

"We felt we had to exclude a couple of players [from the Wisla trip] because, after the international break, it is hard to play the same teams all the time," he said.

"That is probably one of the positive things at the moment as we have a lot of players that were not included yesterday, who were on the bench or rested altogether.

"There was probably eight or nine players [fresh] and that is probably the first time we have had that situation."

As well as utilising his full squad, the Dutchman has been boosted ahead of Everton's visit by the return to fitness of several first-team players.

Summer signing Bryan Ruiz could also feature if he passes a fitness test, meaning just two first-team members are definitely out of contention.

"Orlando Sa is out for the next couple of weeks with a hamstring injury from Thursday night," Jol said.

"If you say he will return then [in two weeks], that would be very positive. It could be three or four weeks as well.

"Simon Davies is training outside now and our target for his return is the end of November.

"They're the only ones who will definitely not be available for Sunday's game."
