This really surprised me given our involvement in the Europa and the new signings and young players on the edges of the first team.

Is this fact significant?

It is not so surprising as you think Mr WN. The title just talks about the PL. I am pretty sure we have used about 20 players alone just in the Europa.

Actually, it would be interesting if someone smarter than me could pull up that stat and then compare the two lists. I think Jol has rotated quite a bit to be honest. Maybe I just imagine things?

I'm not sure it's that big a deal. Most teams aim for a squad of 23 these days, so I think we're at about the right level.
