Does the Fulham Supporters Season Start now?

Having spent the last 6 days getting over our European exit, I am now thinking positive and believing that now is the time to start thinking this is the start of our season. Our new supporter friends do seem to take great pleasure in criticizing the older supporters referring to the past, but at times like this it is a natural thing to do. Fifteen years ago who would have thought we would be playing Man Utd, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Arsenal all top flight teams in one period, and on top of that have a transfer window to allow us to look for players to secure our top flight existence. Who would have thought we would have even declared a record profit season, and be even considering a ground development other than that of providing local housing.

So with no other distractions this must be the start of our season, yes we will be capable of taking points off those top teams because we are Fulham and it happens. Will we
lash out tens of millions in the transfer window? No, because we are Fulham, and have a Chairman that wants the club to move forward on a sound business strategy. Now as supporters we will all have our opinions on how to improve the team in January. Do we look short term or long term? Do we bother at all? What's in front of us? A possible FA Cup run and our remaining premier league games. So do we really need more depth to the squad bearing in mind we are now going to play one game a week apart from a possible replay of an FA cup round. This is the chance to give our youngsters a chance of experience, especially those that deserve it. What's the point of investing in an academy if we don't give that final chance to shine at the highest level. Is it time for the manager to bury the hatchet with his senior players and ask them to embrace these stars of the future and give them some responsibility in teaching them the ropes of being professional, rather than promoting over inflated egos, which seems to be the norm at many clubs at the moment.

YES!!!! This is the start of our season. Fulham fans believe it!!! We already have the talent. We do have a chairman who despite making the odd quirky decision(Jackson) is firmly behind the club, and making good sound business plans for us never go back to the likes of those dark days, when we had to pass the hat round the ground to raise money to ensure our survival.

Please forget negative thinking and rubbishing our players. Their egos really do mean they read our boards, and take note of what we say. If you keep knocking them they will naturally take the attitude of  why bother, they don't wont me I'm off. I have always believed yes you can criticize providing it is tempered with some good points at the same time. Forget what wages they now earn as well, it is how far football has come within the world economy and the demand of our league, which is the best in Europe, and don't forget we are in it. That should make you feel good.
