Fulham being mentioned in a "mainstream" book

Just finished Jo Nesbo's "The Redeemer", and there are a couple of mentions for us. One of the characters is doing the pools and wondering if Fulham will beat Southampton, and further on there is reference to whether Southampton will be able to stop Louis Saha.

Any other fiction or thrillers featuring the mighty whites?

Incidentally, if you have yet to read Jo Nesbo he is highly recommended. His character, Harry Hole, is a flawed but brilliant detective. Nesbo is Norwegian and his novels are all based in Olso, which makes the mention of Fulham all the more remarkable!!

Similar in style to Iain Rankin and the Rebus novels.

Mr Burt,
Harry Hole sounds more like a poorly translated unauthorized biography of Harry Redknapp the A-hole...

John O'Farrell's books are a good quick funny read and ALL the characters are named after former Fulham players.

For all his faults, Harry Hole is far more likeable  :dft011:

Thanks Mr Tony, I will give these a go.

Get the fictions.

The books about the Labour Party contain characters who didn't play for Fulham.
