Riise: I share jokes with Bellamy over golf club incident

John Arne Riise says he has buried the hatchet with fiery Welshman Craig Bellamy – they even share jokes together over their infamous bust-up.

Bellamy will always be remembered for allegedly attacking ex-Liverpool team-mate Riise in 2007.

He was branded "The ­Nutter with a Putter" after supposedly taking a golf-club swing at Riise on a team-­bonding jaunt to Portugal. Fulham ­defender ­Riise, who ­clashes with ­Liverpool star ­Bellamy at Craven Cottage tomorrow night, says the pair soon patched it up.

He said: "We shook hands and settled it very quickly. I came up against him earlier this month when Norway played Wales. We were winding each other up about it all. It's always good to catch up with Bellers.
