Martin Jol eyes Nicky Maynard for the Cottage

FULHAM boss Martin Jol is lining up a £4million bid for Bristol City striker Nicky Maynard.

The Cottagers are eyeing Maynard to replace want-away Bobby Zamora.

Championship side City are reluctant to sell the seven-goal hitman, 25, but risk losing him for nothing as his contract expires in the summer.

Jol is also monitoring Maynard's team-mate Albert Adomah, who has scored five times from the wing this season.

I know he's out of contract in the summer but I'd really like for us to go for him in Jan.

A good poacher, he's pretty quick and has good movement so would fit into Jol's style of play. I think he can make the step up and be a sucess in the Premier League.

I'd still like to keep AJ as well but I think he'll be off as we won't give him the contact he wants and QPR would.
