John Terry charged over alleged racist Ferdinand comments

The allegations centre around a game at Loftus Road in October
England captain John Terry will face charges of racism, the Crown Prosecution (CPS) has said.

Terry is alleged to have used racist language towards Queens Park Rangers' Anton Ferdinand, during Chelsea's 1-0 defeat at Loftus Road on 23 October.

The Chelsea captain was questioned under caution by police in November and a file on the matter was sent to the CPS at the beginning of December.

The 30-year-old has always denied making the racist comments.
