It's actually a bit sooner than that, it's being announced tomorrow.

Bassey the warrior

I think the odds are against him. Fingers crossed though.

One of our starters got injured yesterday, which opens up a place. Sure he was a striker but its still possible that he will just pick an offensive option, in that case Kaca is a possibility. Just as you guys I hope he gets a place.

It would be a big surprise if Alex got called up but the reality is that we've got big question marks in midfield/attack with insecurity surrounding injuried Seb Larsson, John Guidetti and since yesterday the most worrying, Johan Elmander. Add to that, that the left side of midfield is our weakest area with Emir Bajrami (coming from a poor season mainly on the bench at Twente) and Christian Wilhelmsson (playing in a Qatar...) being the only out and out left sided wingers. Players like Ola Toivonen and Rasmus Elm can also play there, but with the current injury situation they will be needed elsewhere.

Personally, I'd be disappointed if a player like Wilhelmsson gets the nod ahead of an exciting talent like Alex.
