3 years 40k a week sounds about right to me. Keep him happy and he'll keep scoring ;))

Somebody must have pissed him off during our last 4 or 5 matches then.

IMO, one of the things that puts him in our price range is his first touch. He's not nearly the hold up player that Bobby was for us.

He seems to wilt when the pressure is really on and the midfielders have to rifle balls up to him to get forward. More often than not, his first touch is similar to that of a concrete wall. Put our midfield under duress and you've taken him out of the game.

We can adjust to that weakness, but Jol only seems to be willing to make that adjustment as a last resort.

Two years with angreement to extend depending on how next season goes.
I agree, and offer him no more than 20-25K a week max, the german league clubs are unlikely to pay more than that other than Bayern, they do not have our TV money and tickets prices are much the same as here.
We need to be cutting back on high wages of 50K a week for just good players. It could also land us with a player we can't move on as no one will match the wages his on especially if they get a bad injury.

He started with an amazing flurry then settled down to what he really is - a good, honest frontman - no more, no less. Give him 2 years at £20k and he should feel lucky.
