FULHAM and the FA are still at loggerheads over Ray Lewington joining England permanently.

Compensation needs to be agreed with Fulham but Club England managing director Adrian Bevington says there is no deal yet.

He said: "We are delighted to have Ray for the tournament.

"He has worked with Roy extensively and is an experienced coach.

"He is a Fulham employee so Ray Lewington is with us for the tournament and that is all I can say on it."

I hope the royal 'we' don't mess things up for him and he ends up having to stay with a slight grimace and actually wanting to leave. Obviously the counter point is he stays knowing the Club value him so highly they needed him to stay. Brinkmanship has failed badly in the past.
