There is an artificial pitch at the Marsa Sports Club in Valletta. They have 2 teams, Marsa Cricket Club and The Exiles who seem to play each other all the time. The outfield is a football/rugby pitch and it is hilarious to watch a fielder about to pick up a simple shot when the ball suddenly leaps up over his shoulder.
They do play 'touring' sides and the pictures say it all. After a night out in Paceville only about 8 of the visitors make the game!  :wine:

Quick update.  unfortunately Muttiah didn't play today, however we still managed to lose!!!  Talking to their players today, his only commitment is playing T20 for Gloucestershire (who he played for today) when they are not playing he will play for Wembley.
We all see the game differently, FoF has taught me that.

Where is Valletta? Our team is always looking for interesting places to tour. I've done Athens, Loire Valley in France, and South America so far

cottage cheese

bit late but does anyone know why flintoff has suddenly turned against mike atherton. Everytime ive read the sport in the papers it seems freddie is constantly abusing mike...Yet nobody has come out and said did mike stumble out of a bar at 5 am two days before a crucial game?....

ive always hated flintoff and this just justifies my view

Sounds like handbags

QuoteAndrew Flintoff offered a foul-mouthed swipe at former England captain Michael Atherton on Tuesday night, as he labelled the Sky cricket analyst a "f*****g p***k".

Nicknamed "Freddie", Flintoff was at the Sky TV party at The Oxo Tower on Tuesday night and when talk turned to the first England captain he played under, the air turned blue.

"He's a p***k," the London Evening Standard reported him as saying. "He's a f*****g p***k. He sits there making judgments about players that are much better than he ever was, believe me, he's a p***k.

"How can he talk about a player like [opening England batsman] Alastair Cook who is 10 times the player he ever was — he has a much bigger average and will go on and on. Atherton averaged in the 30s for England and yet he thinks he can judge others."

Flintoff added "I don't care" when asked if he minded whether journalists published his comments. "Say what you like," he stated before stressing there was "no love lost" between him and Atherton.

Atherton has been a commentator for Channel Four and Sky Sports since he retired from cricket in 2001 and also writes for The Times.

He has been a vocal critic of Flintoff and in 2006 was scathing of his captaincy in the whitewash Ashes defeat to Australia.

Writing in the Daily Telegraph, Atherton commented: "The only positive benefit of the injury to Flintoff may be the end of his immediate captaincy ambitions. I don't subscribe to the view that England's underperformance against Sri Lanka was entirely down to Flintoff's captaincy but equally I have never subscribed to the view that he is the man for the job."

Freddy thinks he's god, has had a few drinks, this is what you get

Don't know what happened to the above message; the answer to your question is Malta.

Make sure you take plenty of sun block and alka-seltzer...

Ah, we did get an invite, from either the Maltese national side or a local Maltese team, to do a tour this summer after a piece on the tour I did to South America in March was shown on Cricket AM recently. Unfortunately we can't make it
