I'd be pretty gutted if he choose to play for big Sam over us. Would be a sign that he only wants money.

Is the source reliable? Not hearing it anywhere else.

Everything I've ever seen from them seems to be 85% roughly truthful I would say, they are a very good source

That's very dissapointing. Why would anyone go there who could come to us except for the money?

Money is only one aspect. He may see better chances there with regards to first team football or chances to improve.

Surely he's more likely to improve by playing with better players? I think he'll know he'll be a regular here too. No, I'm quite sure he'd be going for the money.

Fernhurst

Wonder what his strike rate would be if he had Premier defenders in front of him?

Who was the Dutch guy Boro paid guzillions  for and turned out to be a right dud??

The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

Mr Fulham

oh yeah, it's got to be money when a player turns down Fulham.

Not at all. But when newly promoted clubs outbid us for players, you would assume it is because they are offering more money.

Or because a player wants to establish himself in the big league.

Burt

Not a done deal yet.

But the trending seems very much toward WHU.

Perhaps, but if he had identical offers from both you would assume that Fulham would be favourites.

In this case, Yilmaz going to a team with a load of strikers against coming to Fulham and (probably) being first choice and playing with the likes of Ruiz and Dempsey would seem to boil down more to money. Of course I dont know all the details, but when was the last time money was not the deciding factor in a player going somewhere?

Mr Fulham

Not so sure it's salary as West Ham plan to establish a salary cap according to ESPN.

That means nothing.

'Plan to establish a salary cap' - surely every club has one?

Also, there is no mention of how high it would be.

Remember, they paid the same wages as us last season despite being in the championship.

I'm inclined to agree with AFC on this one. He will come here as first choice striker and there's really no reason other than money to go to West Ham.
