All this 'why would he go to WHU they are crap' or ' Sam is rubbish' misses the point. 

The overseas players do not really know the ins and outs of our teams. All they get is a call saying WHU want to buy you, they are in London, have a bit of history and are paying you X. The player is not going to know that Sam has delusions of grandeur about managing Madrid or that there fans are all east end barrow boys.

Players on the whole go where they are wanted and how much money they are going to get. If we do not want to pay more than Utd then thats just the way it is and we are the better for it.
