Reports from France are saying that Sivok signed a pre-contract with an unnamed French club before the Euro's so this deal is far from being close if true. The report also says he'd still be keen on Sevilla but his agent has close ties with Fulham and we're offering more money.

But why would Sivok's agent negotiate with other clubs if his client has already signed a contract somewhere else? That doesn't really make much sense.

Not sure but not beyond the realms that he thought he'd chance his arm to get a higher salary, signing on fee and cut for himself after he had a good Euro's.

Surely that's impossible if he's already signed with a team before the Euros, as he would be breaking that contract by having his agent negotiating with at least three other clubs who all believe Sivok's a free agent?

Nah, I have a hard time believing this.

He's having a medical here apparently.

It doesn't make a great deal of sense and as per Mr Fulham, his agent would be mad to do that. Anyway, the article from where this appeared is below:-

Senderos was not  a Jol signing, not even a Sparky signing, so we do not know  how  Jol views him.
It may come down to who is costing the most, Hughes may be viewed as a good back -up,  with a year left on his contract,  to bed in  a younger,  Jol's choice.

However, Hangeland did not look too happy last year, or at least not as happy as he used to be.  Perhaps he is the one that is going,  is this guy a left sided ?????

As you were ......
He will be 29 this year .....................and is a midfield player.  Why is this thread about the old chestnut
Hughes v Senderos    :58:

Very strange indeed. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

He played on the right side of central defence in the Euros. And he's a centre half who can play in defensive midfield, not the other way around.

Ah ! right ...thank you Twang

He also wasn't as good enough as he used to be. That of course may well have something to do with more attacking tactics and such.

It's ridiculous that an EURO participant signs a pre-contract agreement with a club ahead of the EUROs...

Yeah, I remember when Alcaraz of Wigan signed one with Wigan prior to the world cup and he had a really good tournament that he attracted a lot of interest but he'd already signed for Wigan, think he was a bit upset that he had.
