The reemergence of the rumor that Dembele going to Man utd is that solely because he didn't play in the friendly yesterday or does it have any truth to it?

Surely if Jol wants to make his life easier could he just ask the other club if there could be two extra subs, and just place Dembele and Dempsey on the bench and not play them. So they don't get injured in cased they do get sold, they don't have rumors the next day that they are going to be sold and they can feel part of the team if they are staying. Is that not the solution. Fulham are doing a favour to play these clubs so I am sure they wouldn't care how many subs there are.
