Not knowing who to support as I take up a hospitality seat in the prawn sandwich area of Wembley, I notice a podgey Mexican playing central midfield. Suddenly I am Mexican for the night and all the way to the final on Saturday.

Was at the game too; thought he played OK. Didn't look out of place in midfield, but did you see how he kep tdropping in to centre defence to form a five and then spring out into midfield? The Japanese couldn't pass through it.

Was there too - decent little game. Salcido looked pretty good at the base of the diamond. The Mexican No.14 looked excellent though, as did their No.9. Some cracking goals too. Supported Mexico solely due to the Salcido connection.
