Do Fulham Have a Defence Coach and who is he?

Was wandering who handles the training for Fulham's defenders. I know we have specialist fitness coaches, technique coaches and I imagine Jol handles the attacking stuff but who trains our defence?

I only ask as I felt like our defenders were kinda just left to get on with it last season hence our positioning and decision making at the back suffered a bit. All three of Hangeland, Hughes and Senderos were guilty of this at times.

Senderos gets far to much stick. He hardly made any mistakes last season, infact you could argue that others in the defence made more mistakes than him. On several occasions last season I saw Brede totally out of position charging to go and try and win headers he didn't need to win and then loosing them for the ball to be flicked on and our defence looking vunerable. So all this stick Senderos gets I don't understand! Yes he made some terrible mistakes in his time at Arsenal but I am yet to see any of these in his time for us. Uses the ball a lot better than Hughes also. Not that I'm slating Hughes either!

I believe if Senderos can iron out some of the errors he makes from time to time (like most footballers do) and can better his passing a little then I think he'll be a good CB to partner Hangeland. With regards to Hughes, I think he suffered from Senderos' inclusion in the side. Being put at RB did not help and if he had a bad game at RB he was dropped. When he came back into the side at CB he was a little shakey to begin with but regained his form. Given the choice between the two when both on form i'd still have Hughes as he is a better all round player and has a great understanding with Hangeland. Senderos will take over eventually but for now Hughes is the better option.

I dont think we have a specialist defensive coach.

Our defence has gotten worse (and by that I mean we have conceded more goals) but that is down to playing a more open system. We have also scored considerably more goals.

I have no idea who or if we have a defense coach. I will say that people use to slag Baird far worse then anyone. Now he's considered a solid, give all, team player. Dempsey was slagged as lazy, no skill, no pace and he fell over to easy. 23 goals shut them up. Senderos is now the target of the negative folks. If he comes good, they'll go after someone else. Just how some people are.
Every player has weaknesses. That's why a team like Fulham with mostly a squad that none of the big 4 want often times does well against them. It is a team sport and teams win. Very few players can take over a game by themselves.
