With Berbatov and Richardson rumoured to be in the bag I would take Charlie Adam in part ex for Dempsey right now, I know he is reluctant to come to us but if he could be persuaded he is one of the better central mid options out there IMO. Lets face it Demps has got to go and Liverpool are unable to raise the funds with carrol staying put so would make sense all round

I still think there is an element of the "overrated" with him... He shone in Blackpool's promotion season, had his moments the following season, but hasn't really done much since...

He rejected the idea of moving from Liverpool not us, he was under the illusion he would get a game but I think he is quickly realising that he will only get fan time elsewhere

I am not so critical of him, I think he can add to the team. However, I just feel there are many better options, and I for one would prefer an almost finished prospect with good potential than him.
There are at least half a dozen CM that would be at least as good as him, if not better. 
Eriksen - would be a good choice.
what's that bloke's name in Norway??? or was it Denmark??  the Indian guy?  We played them in the Europa League.  Just googled it Harmeet Singh...he could be a good one too, had good skill against us.  Oh NM he just signed for Feynoord lol

Am sure i read in the times he rejected the chance of moving south. but all the same really thinks he can get a game at liverpool, which is a joke, so he wil lmove to a hoof it team like stoke

Rhodes went to Blackburn, staying where his roots are in the North of England. My feeling is that even if Fulham and Liverpool agree a deal for Dempsey to them, Adam to us .....that Adam would want to move South. Anyway, in our current position, would be better to make peace with Dempsey and keep to retain him at least until the January window - the rate things are going in the late transfer market, I think it will be essential.
