Assuming Dempsey is off to Villa, net net we have done pretty well. Berbs is a year in year out striker. Moussa was a negative moneyballer - looked great but no end result.

Adding Berbatov and Richardson are positive moves. Losing Dembele is a huge negative. Who will get the ball, hold it, move forward, regain it, pass it effectively in the middle third? Ruiz? Haven't seen him perform consistently well against the big boys. Diarra? Seems unlikely. Sidders? Not really his skill set, from recent evidence.

First two PL matches have shown we can perform well without Demps, but Dembele was our best player overall in both. We'll find out soon how MJ plans to deal with losing him, and then we'll all have our own opinions about whether it's working or not. COYW.

Berb and Rich are good signings but we still sold 8 (9 with demps imminent exit) and only brought in 5.
