There are several players with longer and more distinguished tenure at Fulham than McBride. He also played a minority of his career here.

As for "Uncle Roy," let's not name it after a manager who left us for Liverpool with just a few weeks to go to start the season.

Football now is big business and I'd expect it not to be named after an ex player, but some corporate firm, so expect something along the line of the Pepsi stand, if named after an ex player, I'd like it to be the George Cohen stand, and in 2nd place the Jimmy Hill stand

Because there's a massive economic advantage for Fulham football club to having it named after a sponsor, when the sponsor is a civil engineering contractor that builds the stand and pays for it themselves - in return for for the sponsorship benefits and spin off from being associated with building such a magnificent, showcase structure. If this were to happen!
