David Lloyd has four children. His eldest daughter Ellen suffers from a very severe form of motion sickness which for the last five years has been ruining her life. Now, at the age of 18, when David and his wife Heather should be worrying about what time of night she is coming home are worrying about whether she will be able to leave her room today. For the last year she has been virtually housebound  and has not attended school and therefore missed taking her GSE's.

David's sister Gwyneth and husband Paul who own a pub, The Inn on the Green in Ockley, Surrey, couldn't believe, that after five years, the NHS were still no closer to offering a solution to Ellen's situation. At the weekend they held a charity event and raised over £1,000 towards specialist treatment at a Harley Street clinic that we all hope will give Ellen her life back.

The trouble is, the treatment is likely to cost in excess of £2,500 and I wondered if any fellow Fulham supporters would like to donate ant money, large or small, towards Ellen's fund.

If you can help you can donate by card by calling 01306-711032 and asking to for Gwyneth or Paul and tell them that you would like to donate to Ellen Lloyds fund.

Thanking you in anticipation.

My youngest sister has also been suffering from a rare syndrome called 'Labyrinthitis' which caused her to have panic attacks on a regular basis, and sometimes even faint in public places. She had to stay out of college for over 6 months and it ended up causing her to have to retake an entire year while all of her friends go to University.

She seems to be on the mend now, but you never know when it will appear again. It's a real problem as this is the most important time of anyone's life when it comes to setting out your plans for the future and having to miss out on education can have a serious backlash.

My thoughts go out to Ellen and the Lloyds and I hope that she can overcome this quickly.
"We won't look back on this season with regret, but with pride. Because we won what many teams fail to win in a lifetime – an unprecedented degree of respect and support that saw British football fans unite and cheer on Fulham with heart." Mohammed Al Fayed, May 2010
