Just saw Fulham's tweet. Awful news.  :025:
"Everybody's assuming [Berbatov will go] but as far as I know he is a Man United player....my mistake. Oh my God. He's a Fulham player."

Not the best news for a Friday lunch time, but I still feel we can get something from the game. We'll need Ruiz to shine and would think Petric will be bought in who we've already seen to have a good eye for goal!

Unlike the last few seasons when a forward getting an injury was a serious crisis we have two quality forwards in Petric and Rodellaga who will be both motivated to show they can do the buisness and partner Berba when he returns. We will obviously miss Berba, what team wouldn't?  but I'm not gnashing ny teeth just yet. In fact it may lull City into a false sense of security.

And the manager says that he is close to bringing in a new face, although he was not willing to reveal who it is.
It was put to Jol that he may be talking about Hargreaves or Reo-Coker, both high-profile midfielders who are available on a free transfer.
But the Dutchman said: "I hope to sign a central midfielder in the next couple of days. He will be on a non-contract basis and from abroad.
"Diarra is out for about four weeks. He had some bone removed from his knee. It is not as bad as we thought."

The Doctor

Good news about Diarra.  Bad news about Berbatov.  Like others, am hoping Petric is raring to go.

Be good to get a look at Karagounis.  Presume it'll be Baird and Sidwell starting in the middle.  Need big games from Rodallega, Kaca and Ruiz tomorrow

Just logged onto my fantasy team and removed Berba :'( This is tragic news, nice to hear everyone is still upbeat about a result though!

I'll take "Berba is out for 2 weeks" if I can get "Diarra back in 4" any day. I was sure we'd lost him for most of the season.

Cant seem to find anything on the internet about the press conference.

Petric playing is no bad thing..  This is a game we're not expecting to get anything from so I'd as soon Berbatov was missing from this game and Petric got a run out than Berbatov be missing for a more realistically winnable but tight game like Liverpool at the Cottage.
