Is this some sort of wind up? A player has left the England squad with...a Sore Throat? Are footballers getting softer or what?!

You'd expect someone as young as him with chances being hard to come by and considering the honour to play for your country no matter the occasion to be more worthy than sitting at home with a packet of Lockets.

Yeah sounds like Man Flu. Which as we all know can be infectious. Just reading about it has made feel a bit poorly.Still they feed a fever and feed a cold. They don't? Oh well too late for this packet of sausage rolls.

It´s feed a cold & starve a fever. Colds need plenty of vitamins to assist recovery & fevers just need plenty of liquids & paracetamol to bring the temperature down.

Apparently he went on to twitter to vent his spleen at those thinking it was "just" a sore throat, and to express disappointment at not being able to play.

Because he got a bit swary-mary he had to withdraw the post. Or tweet. Or whatever it is called.
