Defensive Woes

What has happened?

Looking more and more shaky at the back as the weeks go by. Big shout out to Sascha Riether though, another solid performance. Best right back we've had in a long long time.

I think, personally, it's time to add a bit of senderos into the mix. Hughes and Hangeland have both not looked themselves, Hangeland especially, and it's getting worrying. Adding a bit of someone with desire to play, strength and good passing could be really good for us and sort out what has been a poor defensive showing so far this season.

Apart from that, we've looked good on either wing. I don't like taking defenders off, espically full backs and it was noticeable that we got hammered after Riise came off. Was he injured?

Replace H,H and Shwartz the rest of the team are fine.

Bracken White

Thought it was a smart substitution, in that he was booked & one more foul we're down to 10-men. Besides, Dejagah may have surprised them at right wing. Piece-de-resistance was Sid - took up a great position to slot in our 2nd - Dempseywise! Can't recall when I was more overjoyed with a point!
Have a theory about 'defensive' substitutions - Moyes & Distan today ... ours at Southampton. They never work & invariably put more pressure on the Team holding out.
Stay Fulhamish ~ stay unique

We are a much more attacking unit, which is why only the yop 2 have scored more than us in the league. With that comes pressure on the defence.

I think that we have sacrificed a little defence for offence, but if that keeps us where we are in the table, then I am all for it.

I think Riise got injured in the 1st half noticed a limp at times in 2nd half

Sadly she wasn't

It's hurts to say but I think we are seeing the decline of Brede and I love him to bits.  I used to just be so confident with him and Hughes at the back but not now.  Senderos probably deserves a chance and a chance from the fans too.  Is it a coincidence that he has not signed yet?  Jol seems to have a habit of selling players on a downward curve.
We all see the game differently, FoF has taught me that.
