Shame, this would have been a good but reasonable buy. The lad has a bright future ahead of him. Just goes to show how organised Everton are at the moment even without lots of cash. Flirting with a CL spot and a well disciplined squad that competing with the likes of Manchester United.

cool video in that link but am unimpressed... if he does those things in the premiership people will be victimising him even more often than Senderos - keeps the ball far too long with players close to him (imagine the dif between Norway league and the teams in England), rushes forward like a Brede on crack while leaving central defence wide open, thinks he's brazilian or whatnot and on at least one ocassion in this video has absolutely no communication with the rest of his team's defence :D

unless you are watching him on weekly basis to know better you shouldn't be sorry if they sign him

not really, we sold murphy,ethuhu, dempsey (was going one way or another so needed replacing) so we needed new blood in. Also we have a smallish squad so thats why dejagah came in but still we are 3-4 players of quality short. Karagounis and tavares were brought in to give us cover which shows !

Granted dembele was not our control but we still left ourselves short.

im confused you have just said Jol admitted to making the mistake in the transfer window which Is what I was refering to!

We really need a central defender as no one could have seen the loss of form in brede which has hindered the entire defence as he was the key plug. We also need 2-3 midfielders along with maybe a wide man/ruiz type player (maybe young so can be bled in?).
Im actually am happy with upfront, petric has for me proved to a reliable back up, scored 4 goals already this season and if he gets another 6-7 il be happy with his contribution. The rod has pace and I think just needs a run of games to get going as he did not start much at wigan.

I was getting to point that the previous window wasn't a complete failure. Does anyone think Douglas is a realistic target still? I heard today we might be in for Omar El Kaddouri (21) from Napoli, could fit the bill for the young Ruiz type player back up.
