Sorry but its just Ruiz this, Ruiz that, with Ruiz we can do this, with Ruiz we can do that.
Plan B needed Martin.

Not sure we can conjure up a plan B with the personnel we have on board presently MJG
Sidders and Baird whilst great guys and solid pros were never going to cut it long term as replacements for Dembele and Dempsey.
Let's all trust our management team are as professional as we believe they are and we don't lose Haggers at the last minute in this window.

I would not be upset if we lost Haggers now, as long as we brought in a good replacement.  I for one am not convinced that he will be as strong in the future as he has in the past.

MJG

I'm not sure what the team will be, but knowing Jol it will not have Stockdale,Briggs, kasami, Kaca (although Frei will start) in it.

Agreed, but they should be IMO.....could only do better than we've seen in the last two games.

I wonder what costa rican dutch is for sick note. The amount of absences Ruiz has had hardly makes him the top topic of conversation and hardly a reliable figure to build a team around. Too much of a gamble imho. Berbatov hardly gets a mention though compared to other interviews. He's probably saving Berba for the post match interview when he bemoans the fact we did'nt use him enough.
Frustrating is'nt he.

Drop richardson and brede, baird to cb
Watching the ups and downs since 1958, wouldn't have it any other way, what a roller coaster of a club.

Julius Geezer

                                                        Schwarzer
       Riether                Hughes                                        Hangeland           Briggs

       Kacaniklic             Sidwell                                         Baird                   Frei

                                Rodallega                                      Berbatov

Subs: Stockdale, Senderos, Riise, Richardson, Dejagah, Ruiz, Kasami.

Not my choice but I think Jol will go with: -

Schwarzer
Riether-Brede-Hughes-Riise
Dejagah-Sidwell-Karagounis-Frei
Berbatov
Hugo

CanadianCottager

Wouldn't risk Bryan for the whole match, let him come at around the 60th minute mark and see if he can pull a similar job to what he did at Reading.
Schwarzer; Riether, Hughes, Hangeland, Riise; Dejagah, Sidwell, Baird, Frei; Rodallega, Berbatov

Subs: Stockdale, Senderos, Richardson, Karagounis, Kacaniklic, Kasami, Ruiz.

Bit much being read into that interview by some.
5 points from the two games might just prove difficult without Ruiz.

ffc73

By my maths you cannot get 5 points from 2 games so with or without Ruiz it will be impossible.

3 against Southampton as a minimum requirement (it will feels like a 6-pointer anyway), 4 would be great as Swansea look good and 6 from the 2-games would make my Christmas

JackyFulham90

Surely it is time Kasami got a chance? Kacaniklic is still a good prospect I hope he starts

Classic94

Stockdale

Reither   Hughes   Hangeland   Riise

Baird   Sidwell

Dejagah   Frei   Kacaniklic

Berbatov

Subs: Schwarzer, Senderos, Karagounis, Kasami, Richardson, Ruiz, Rodallega

JackyFulham90

Ruiz is key for us that would be a huge boost

JackyFulham90

We need pace in the side and Dejagah , Frei & Rodallega will give us that

JackyFulham90

I would take 4 points from these home games

24 points going into January given our injuries would be decent

Edwatch_Winston_Malone

We should win these games but having seen our last two games, I am not confident at all...

Considering we bagged most of those in the openning two months or so of the season I would suggest it is a meteoric descent. Three points at tea time on the 1st and some will be scowling at Jol. Four or five and there might be some leniency. Nil and it will be very interesting

I actually can't believe some still consider Ruiz as the messiah in this shambles. His absences are more legendary than him.

Count Berbatov

There's a good chance you get 1, 2 or no points from the next two games. Of course everyone's hope is for 6, but it depends on the mood...mostly Berbatov's
Berbatov has Cantona's knack of being the man amid a stampede towards the door who stops to notice a side exit that nobody else has seen.

Jonathan Northcroft on Berbatov:  "...like a man in silk pyjamas shooting pigeons from a deckchair"

JackyFulham90

We have the quality to respond

Fulham 2-1 Southampton
Fulham 2-2 Swansea

We are tough to play against at the Cottage we can get points from these games
