Have to say that we will miss him. We have no cover for an elderley German Gentleman and that frankly for a Prem club is pathetic. Kelly always worked hard and did a good job. Good luck to him.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

Am I the only one who's happy we're shipping out Kelly and possibly Baird? I'm hoping it's a sign that Martin is going to sign younger and better players.

Or maybe I'm just dreaming.
He gets the ball, he scores a goal, he loves to play for Martin Jol - Dimitar Berbatov - Fulham's Number Nine!

In theory it's fine, but if the replacements don't actually materialise then there's the issue.  It's also no use getting rid of them if you can't replace with players you want, rather than players you can get.

Agree absolutely about Kelly... A solid and honest pro with 100pc effort at all times.   Wish him success in a continued career.

It's funny how many will say "BH Riise was worth the money for those two crosses in Basel." What about Kelly? Was it it not he who set up Gera's deciding goal?

He also totally ballsed up last seasons Europa campaign by making a suicidal pass upfield from a free kick in stoppage time.  But yeh, he always tried but just wasn't good enough when he played this season.
Are you talking about Odense?

Yah.  Had he been even vaguely smart and kept the ball instead of hammering it upfield then things would have ended very differently.  Granted it could have been dealt with better up top, but his it was initial error.

Bassey the warrior

That's slightly disappointing. He has been a good back up. Better than Baird and Hughes. Good luck to him.

Best bit of news i've heard all year!
Bit spiteful for a player who never gave less that his best effort in a Fulham shirt!
I'll give my best for fulham, doesn't mean i'm good enough.

Chris Baird?

Sad to see Kelly go, he's been a top pro.

It found its way to attacking players; not really sure that can be classed as an error. If you were to blame anyone for that, it should be the whole team for switching off in the second half. Also, Frei and Sa arguably made worse 'errors'.

Such an over the top reaction for a player who gave his all to the team.

We have adequate cover if necessary - Hughes and Baird have plenty of experience in that position.

Only my opinion. I felt he tried hard enough, just didn't possess the physical attributes and mental awareness required. That is the kindest thing I'll ever say about him unfortunately.

I'll be reacting exactly the same way when someone finally releases us from the horror of watching Senderos play CB.

It was an error of judgement for sure, for a guy of his experience he should have been killing time.  It's what you do in those circumstances, delay the kick for a good 30/40 seconds, take a booking if need be :P  Sa and Frei did the inexperienced thing, what you expect from inexperienced players.  Kelly is/was not inexperienced, and it all stemmed from him being far too eager to get rid of the ball/responsibility.  In my opinion of course :)

Is this really the depth that some Fulham fans have sunk to? How sad...... fp.gif
