... was nowhere near the Cottage. Jonathan Walters scored two own goals and missed a PK as a Chelscum rolled over Stoke City 4-0. I anticipate him being our deadline day signing in a swap deal for Ruiz and Sidwell....

To be honest seeing Stoke get battered doesn't make me feel any better after a poor home result against a team you're expected to beat comfortably. I couldn't give a flying fig about Stoke. This result sums up our season so far, being unable to beat teams at home who last year would have been a nailed on three points. Berbatov or not losing the two D'S+ two CM's and not replacing them has been catastrophic, and to add insult to injury the defence letting their high standards slip has cost us dearly.
