Funnily enough, a third derisory bid as well. There should be punishments for taking the piss like Norwich are.

I'd be surprised if that deal went through. Twente weren't happy that Everton announced the deal before it has been finalized but apparently Everton discovered during the medical that he has a knee problem.

Latest on the Crouch to QPR piece, From BBC Sport's Ben Smith:

"QPR will hold further talks with Stoke today as manager Harry Redknapp pushes ahead with plans to sign striker Peter Crouch.

"Stoke are willing to sell Crouch but have rejected a player plus cash offer that would have seen Jamie Mackie move to the Britannia Stadium.

"QPR are now preparing to return with a straight cash offer for Crouch with Stoke attempting to recoup close to the £10m they paid for him in August 2011."

Also from Ben Smith:

"West Ham are closing in on a deal for Blackburn goalkeeper Paul Robinson.

"The 33-year-old former England international has fallen out of favour at Ewood Park in recent months and been told he can move on. "

Burt

James Horncastle, BBC Sport:

"It would appear that Napoli have beaten QPR to the signing of Rolando.

"Reports are beginning to emerge that an agreement was reached with Porto last night to loan the player until the end of the season with a right to buy included in the deal for a fee said to be 7.5m euros. The 27-year-old Portugal international defender is expected to fly to Italy tonight and undergo a medical on Thursday."

From Ben Smith, BBC Sport:

"Mohammed Diame has been one of the most talked about players during the January transfer window but West Ham are increasingly confident that he will sign a new contract with them in the coming days.

"Arsenal have been one of a number of clubs linked with the 25-year-old Senegal midfielder because of a release clause in his contract.

"Contrary to reports, Diame's release clause is closer to £7m than £3.5m, but West Ham are hopeful that any new deal would see that removed and end speculation on his future.

"The one variable in all this is the player himself, who, according to manager Sam Allardyce, changes his mind from one hour to the next."

Burt

From BBC Sport's Iain Dennis:

"Norwich City will sign striker Kei Kamara subject to a work permit from Sporting Kansas City. The 28-year-old is a Sierre Leone international."

£5 million seems steep unless Jol knows something we don't.
