I hope tommy does fancy us as a team and joins, especially after this result I could really see him sitting in that midfield, almost allowing for a midfield 3.

Tht other French lad sounds handy

Absolutely. If we're to play the ball out from the back we need him. Karagounis and Sidwell like to bomb forward. Ruiz and Berba shouldn't be dropping so deep, I know they'll come deep but not that deep.

According to this guy (https://twitter.com/thijsslegers) Raiola has confirmed that Manolev is signing for Fulham tomorrow. Loan for the rest of the season, then an option to buy with a three year deal on the table.

Ordar

Anyone know what Manolev is like?

I'll be honest, I've never heard of him.

I cant see us signing all of Manolev, Emanuelsson and Huddlestone though

Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas insisted he did not expect any players to leave Spurs before Thursday's deadline.

Manolev is probably the best Bulgarian player after Berbatov and Martin Petrov. That doesn't say much, I know, but let's say it would be a good deal if we sign him for about 1.2 million pounds.
"Everybody's assuming [Berbatov will go] but as far as I know he is a Man United player....my mistake. Oh my God. He's a Fulham player."

Why would Milan want Kasami if he cant get a game here?  Someone, somewhere, is missing something.

Juventus have also been looking at Kasami few times now, maybe it's Jol who is blind?

JustOverTheRiver

It must just be his potential they see in him because he is so wasteful whenever he plays for us.

God The Mechanic

But surely if two of the biggest teams in Europe see potential, then there's something there?  Or at least something worth trying to see if it's there :P

Or it could just be that his style of play is better suited for Italian football than English.

Jol on Huddlestone: 'It's difficult to get a perm transfer like that. I started five wks ago and it won't happen on the last day.'

Nobody get their hopes up on Huddlestone then, think he confirmed the Emmanuelson signing though.

I'd just like to pause this thread for a minute to point out that we've hit the 100 page mark.

Cue the celebrations:  :wine:  082.gif  :yay:  :yay:  :yay:   :dft011:

Anyway back to the transfers.

The Telegraph are linking us with a deadline day bid for Jack Butland.

cottage cheese

we need a midfield man to pin point passes as sidwell and karagounis as much as I love them dont have that ability and we really need a player who can chip balls to players when they run into some space

Possibly. He always seemed more dynamic than tactical (assuming that's your suggestion). Would have added drive from midfield at least :-)

Lighthouse

We are close to Manolev and Emulsion (?) and maybe a few others according to a bloke close to Jol.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

I wouldn't write it off as he has only been given permission to talk avb said so things can easily get sorted and we all know that Fulham never come out and confirm a signing or speculate unless the ink is dry on the contract
