I know for my first game I wouldn't want to get stuffed 3/4 - 0, it would have a bad affect on the new signings.

yes but with the new guys we might have actually been better and had a ago. instead the 3 or 4 nil looks much more likely now. how do you match the skill and pace of the table toppers, not with old slow players thats for sure
