Here's today's tip: Zone out during exercise

Exercise, it's a key part of the whole weight-loss process and, to many, it is viewed with trepidation.  This is hardly surprising as, to most overweight people, it's the lack of exercise which has been a huge contributory factor to their situation.  It doesn't have to be overly painful, however.

There's a reason why people exercise to their favorite music – listening to external stimulus takes your mind off of the physical activity. That's the secret to making "exercise time" fly by. If you're concentrating on what your body is doing, the session is going to drag on for what will seem like days. Buy a portable music player, or situate yourself in front of a television.   If you choose the latter, it's better to use pre-recorded content or at least have a good idea of what you will be watching before you start to exercise.  Whilst zoning out is important in this process, spending exercise time searching for something to watch is counter-productive.
