NFR Football Manager 2013 Challenge Mode

Playing the avoid relegation challenge with us, so unbelievably difficult. The low morale has led to the players defending like a Sunday league team and no matter whom I get in, no matter how hard I train them, whether or not I change tactics it just hasn't improved.
Effectively relegated now in mid February.
Has anyone successfully completed this challenge?

Officially given up. It feels like a fix up, if anything could go wrong defensively it always does no matter what I do. So frustrating!
