Jimmy Bullard compares our position in 2008 with 7 games to go and QPR now.

They are weirdly similar, both teams are in the same position in the table, have identical points, same number of wins, draws and losses. Goals FFC +27 -51 (-24) and QPR +28 -51 (-23)

Been working this out with a few others over on Facebook. 1st point is that QPR will require more points than we did thatvyear, we just stayed up on goal difference and was 4th from bottom, QPR are currently second. Looking at their fixtures, they have a half decent run in, but are playing teams in a similar situation to them or teams pushing for Europe. Taking that in to consideration and if they won all their home games and drew away, that's 38 points in total.

I'll leave you to work it out..

QPR have some quality players and they showed in the second half against us that they can work well as a team so it is just about possible that they still could avoid the drop but it looks extremly unlikely. I sense their  fans have now resigned themselves to relegation but then I must admit in the season of the Great Escape I was convinced we were relegation certainties.

really long term explains why Roy is better then twitchy, same situation? Hodgson had less money, Harry had arguably a better squad then us then and still is struggling aha
